This office's goal is to provide information in a variety of formats and media, from the written word to video, and from the county website to media partners, to achieve several important objectives:The Washington County Office of Communications and Community Relations exists to provide information about the county — its government as well as its people, places, businesses and schools. We strive to deliver that information to citizens, elected officials and government employees, the media and people from outside the county in a way that is timely, thorough and transparent.

Inform - Provide maximum transparency about the county government's activities, expenditures and decision-making to the taxpayers who fund the government, and without whom it wouldn't exist (see this website's "Public Documents" page);

Update - Offer the latest news, through our own reports and through links to the local media, about the major issues confronting the county (see this website's "News" page);

Celebrate - Promote the features and attributes that make Washington County a great place to live, work and visit, so that residents can take pride in their community and its people, and non-residents can better understand why they should consider moving to or investing in Washington County.
