WASHINGTON COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
PUBLIC NOTICE 

The public is advised that the Washington County Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution at its November 23, 2020 regular meeting indicated the intent of Washington County government to locally adopt the 2018 International Residential Code by reference.  A copy of the 2018 International Residential Code is now on file for public use, inspection, and examination at the County Clerk’s office at the Washington County courthouse, Jonesborough, Tennessee.

WASHINGTON COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

PUBLIC NOTICE
This notice is provided in accordance with T.C.A. § 7-51-904.
The Washington County Board of Commissioners’ Regular August 2020 Meeting on Monday, August 24, 2020 includes Acceptance of Resolution 20-02-13-A (“Resolution of Support of Proposed Terms And Authority To Execute Interlocal Agreement To Provide Capital Improvement Funding For Johnson City Schools”).  Therefore, this meeting may include action, approval, and acceptance of the Interlocal Agreement as set out in as an Exhibit to the related resolution, the agreement without draft watermark, which are available on the Washington County website (washingtoncountytn.org). 
 
The Interlocal Agreement provides funding to Johnson City for school capital improvements in an amount totaling twelve million, five-hundred thousand dollars ($12,500,000.00) which shall be made for a term of twenty-five (25) years at a rate of five-hundred thousand dollars ($500,000.00) per year upon the commencement of Washington County making its first Base Rent Payment as that term is understood and defined in the Building Lease Agreement dated November 13, 2019 which was authorized by Resolution No. 19-10-20 (The Jonesborough School Project).  The subject-payments will provide funding for the planning, design, and construction of capital improvements to the following properties which are owned by the City of Johnson City, Tennessee:  WOODLAND ELEMENTARY SCHOOL (2303 Indian Ridge Rd, Johnson City, TN 37604); SOUTH SIDE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL (1011 Southwest Ave, Johnson City, TN 37604); LAKE RIDGE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL (1001 Lake Ridge Square, Johnson City, TN 37601); and TOWN ACRES ELEMENTARY SCHOOL (2310 Larkspur Dr, Johnson City, TN 37604).  The document described herein, to the extent approved by the Washington County Board of Commissioners, are expected to be approved in substantially the form submitted under Resolution 20-02-13-A or with such changes as may be thereafter approved by Washington County, Tennessee officials.  This notice is provided in accordance with T.C.A. § 7-51-904.  Posted August 13, 2020
